Valve have announced via the counter-strike.net blog that a new update will be rolling out on Monday for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. This update is set to include various bug fixes, a revised match making system and two new maps - the classic de_vertigo and a new map for Arms Race - ar_monastery.
"On Monday, we will release a major update to CS:GO. It will feature a revised matchmaking system for Classic Competitive mode, two maps (the classic de_vertigo and the fast-paced ar_monastery), and a ton of bug fixes based on community feedback."

In this video it gives tribute to both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source showcasing amazing gameplay from tournaments, leagues and events from both 1.6 and Source. Very soon Dreamhack Valencia will be hosting a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament which will act as a qualifier for Dreamhack Winter 2012. There will be 8 teams battling it out over 3 action packed days on the maps nuke_ve, mirage_csgo, dust2_se, inferno_se and train_se. This will be 5v5 starting with the Group Stage - Best of 1; Round of 4 and Finals - Best of 3. The teams involved can be seen below:
